Hi I'm Rich

I graduated with a finance degree in investments and economics from Stellenbosch University in 2009. 

 

That same year, I began investing in the stock market during the Great Financial Crisis.

After three and a half years of consistent monthly investing,

my portfolio returns matched my salary as an investment analyst,

allowing me to leave my job and technically "retire" at the age of 24.

 

I was even featured alongside Warren Buffett in a Forbes article titled

"Investors share their Top Secrets of How to Profit During a Recession."

In 2020, my musician partner Zen and I went to Bali for a three-month vacation,

but the lockdown turned that trip into a two-year stay.

During that time, we decided to sell everything—our apartment, cars, and furniture—to become "digital nomads."

We are currently in a bucket-list goal to visit 100 countries and have explored 31 so far.

 

As I celebrate 15 years of investing on the stock market,
